End of R6 White Noise: What You Need to Know
Apr 5, 2024
Rainbow Six Siege, the popular first-person shooter from Ubisoft, has been known to regularly update its game with new content, fixes, and seasonal events. One such event was the R6 White Noise, which introduced new Operators, weapons, and a new map. But just as it began, it also came to an end. In this article, we will discuss when the R6 White Noise event ended and what replaced it when it concluded.
Launched on December 5th, 2017, R6 White Noise marked the end of Rainbow Six Siege's second year. The event featured a South Korea-focused theme with the introduction of two South Korean Operators - Dokkaebi and Vigil, as well as a Polish Operator, Zofia. The new map, Mok Myeok Tower, was set in South Korea as well.
After approximately three months of White Noise, Ubisoft moved on to the next seasonal event, named Operation Chimera, which commenced on March 6th, 2018. This marked the official end of R6 White Noise; however, the operators and map introduced with White Noise remained as part of the game's permanent content.
Operation Chimera brought in two new biohazard specialists, French CBRN Operator Lion and Russian CBRN Operator Finka. Alongside these new Operators, the event featured a limited-time co-operative mode called Outbreak, where players fought against an alien parasite.
In conclusion, R6 White Noise ended on March 6th, 2018, with the beginning of Operation Chimera. While the event may have ended, the content introduced with White Noise, such as the new Operators and map, became a permanent addition to Rainbow Six Siege.
