New Rainbow Six Siege Operation White Noise Release Date and Details

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege continues to dominate the online multiplayer first-person shooter scene with the highly-anticipated release of Operation White Noise. This latest update brings a slew of exciting new content, including a brand-new map, new operators, and a host of other additions and improvements to enhance the gameplay experience.

Operation White Noise was officially launched on December 5th, 2017. This new content was rolled out across all platforms, including PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. For those who own the Year 2 Season Pass, the new operators Dokkaebi and Vigil became available right away, while other players had to wait until December 12th, 2017, to unlock them using in-game currency or purchased points.

The White Noise update introduced the thrilling new map, Mok Myeok Tower, set in a high-tech surveillance-packed tower in South Korea. This map provides a challenging environment for both attackers and defenders to navigate, with plenty of vertical gameplay, tight corners, and risky pathways that will keep players on their toes.

Three new operators also joined the fray in this update. Dokkaebi, an attacker from South Korea's 707th Special Mission Battalion, comes equipped with the Logic Bomb ability, which can hack into enemy devices and make their phones ring, giving away their position. Her defender counterpart, Vigil, boasts an Electronic Rendering Cloak to mask his presence from enemy drones and cameras as long as his ability is active. The third operator, Zofia, comes from Poland's GROM unit, and she brings a double-barreled grenade launcher capable of launching both impact and concussion grenades.

In addition to the new map and operators, Operation White Noise also featured a variety of bug fixes, balancing updates, and quality-of-life improvements. Additionally, the update introduced new skins, charms, and other cosmetic items for players to customize their in-game experience.
