Release Date and Details for Operation White Noise

Apr 4, 2024

Ubisoft's popular tactical shooter game, Rainbow Six Siege, has been consistently updated with new content and improvements since its release in 2015. One such highly anticipated update is 'Operation White Noise,' which had fans eagerly awaiting its arrival.

Operation White Noise was officially released on December 5, 2017. This update introduced a new map and three new operators, significantly expanding the game's content. The new map is set in a high-tech observation tower above Seoul's skyline, providing a fresh and challenging environment for players to navigate. The three new operators each bring unique abilities and playstyles, adding new layers of strategy and teamwork opportunities.

The South Korean operators are Dokkaebi and Vigil. Dokkaebi is an attacker who can hack into defenders' smartphones, causing them to vibrate and make noise until manually turned off, effectively giving away their position. Vigil, a defender, can become invisible to drones and cameras for a limited time, making it more difficult for attackers to pinpoint his location. The third operator, the Polish GROM attacker named Zofia, has a custom rifle-mounted grenade launcher, with both impact and concussion grenades, allowing her to smoothly switch between taking out barriers and disorientating enemies.

In addition to these new additions, Operation White Noise also introduced various gameplay improvements, bug fixes, and updates to the game's user interface. With its release on December 5, 2017, Rainbow Six Siege fans were surely delighted to have more content and features to enjoy.
