Removing White Noise from Vocals in FL Studio: A Step-by-Step Guide

Whether you're a professional music producer or a bedroom beat-maker, chances are that you'll sometimes come across white noise issues in your vocal recordings. This can be due to various reasons such as an overly sensitive microphone or a noisy recording environment. Thankfully, you can easily remove white noise from vocals using FL Studio, one of the most popular DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations) available today.

Follow these step-by-step instructions to remove white noise from your vocals:

Step 1: Load Vocals
Open FL Studio, and load your vocal sample or recorded track into the workspace by clicking 'File,' then 'Import,' and finally 'Audio File.'

Step 2: Open Edison
Open the FL Studio mixer by clicking on the 'Mixer' button on the toolbar. Select the channel that contains your vocal sample, and click on an empty effects slot. From the drop-down menu, select 'Edison,' which is a powerful built-in audio editor in FL Studio.

Step 3: Highlight and Denoise
Inside Edison, click the 'Select' button on the toolbar and drag the mouse to select a portion of the recording where there's only white noise. Listen to make sure you've got a clean sample of the noise. Then, click the 'Tools' button on the toolbar, and select 'Denoise (acquired noise profile)' from the list. This will apply noise reduction based on a sample of the noise you selected.
