Apr 5, 2024

If you're an avid Rainbow Six Siege player, chances are you've been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Operation White Noise. Fret no more, for we have gathered all the details about the awaited expansion just for you.

Operation White Noise was released on December 5, 2017, as part of the Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Year 2 content. This marked the final expansion for Year 2 and set the stage for the third year of content for the popular first-person shooter.

White Noise brought new content to the game, including a new map, three new operators, and a variety of game improvements. The map, called Mok Myeok Tower, is set in a South Korean high-rise building, adding a fresh vertical gameplay element to multiplayer matches that fans were excited about.

The expansion also introduced three new operators to the game:

  1. Zofia Bosak - An attacker from the Polish GROM unit

  2. Dokkaebi - A South Korean attacker from the 707th SMB unit

  3. Vigil - A South Korean defender from the 707th SMB unit

These new operators added unique abilities and strategies for players to experiment with, further diversifying the gameplay experience and enriching the tactical possibilities available to players.

Alongside the release of White Noise, the development team at Ubisoft also applied numerous fixes and updates to the game, polishing gameplay and resolving various issues. This constant attention to improving Rainbow Six Siege has helped maintain a dedicated community and player base, helping the game's ongoing success.

Operation White Noise was a significant update to Rainbow Six Siege, expanding the game and maintaining its competitive edge as it moved into Year 3. Even though it was released years ago, the exciting map and new operators ensure that it is remembered as an essential aspect of Rainbow Six Siege's development.
